How to Plan Your Beach Proposal
Step 1
The first important key to proposing at a resort is to contact the on-site concierge. This person will act as your proposal coordinator — making sure all of the small details have been arranged as you prepare for your big moment. After you’ve contacted the concierge they will have the chance to bring all parties on board that might be needed like a florist, in-room dining, a photographer and beach staff.
Step 2
The next step is to share your ideas with the concierge. This gives them and their staff the chance to give suggestions and to also figure out the best way to create a memorable proposal. The more details you share with them the more personalized and unique your proposal will be. And not every person wants an over the top proposal, if simple and traditional suits your relationship let your concierge know!
Step 3
The final secret to planning the perfect proposal is timing — give yourself ample time for all moving parts to come together. Asking someone to spend forever with you is a big deal and we at the Hilton Sandestin Beach understand that nervous jitters can occasionally create a hiccup in your plans. A Simple Seagar’s Proposal
A young man that was planning to pop the question contacted our team and asked about the possibility of proposing in our four-diamond restaurant, Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood. We worked with the staff at Seagar’s to reserve a private dining room so the moment would be intimate and he contacted a photographer to have on-site to capture the evening. Upon arrival to the hotel we introduced the young man to Seagar’s General Manager, and they secured the ring and verified all the final details. When the young couple arrived at Seagar‘s our friendly staff brought them to the wine room where they began their dining experience. Right before dessert began our team explained that a photographer was there “for a promotional photo-shoot” and they began the tableside Bananas Foster — a treat to the palate and visually in itself. As the dessert service came to an end, our team presented the table with a new plate and sitting in the middle of it was the ring. Needless to say she said yes!
An Extravagant Evening on the Deck
During the weekend of an elaborate Indian wedding, the groom’s sister’s boyfriend approached our team about proposing to her the night before her brother’s nuptials. The young man had arranged a video of their relationship’s special moments to be playing outside of the ballrooms. Once the almost engaged-bride-to-be had watched the moments of their relationship cascade across the screen, she was whisked to the deck where stood her soon to be fiance in a heart of rose petals and candles. Afterwards both of their families were awaiting them in a guest room with champagne to toast an evening of celebration.
A Beachside Classic
There are so many opportunities for romantic proposals where the turquoise waves lap ashore the sugar white sands. With a spectacular sunset kissing the Gulf before nightfalls and displays a star-studded sky, your backdrop depends on your preference. There was a gentleman that contacted our team about an evening proposal with a cozy bonfire and tikki torches to set the stage for the moment. With the help of Hilton Sandestin Beach’s Recreation department, they were able to not only set up this beachfront proposal but to also capture the entire event on video.
