The private beach at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa is part of a stretch of coastline in South Walton that is considered one of the world’s most beautiful. The sand, a near-pure quartz crystal, fashioned over time by the weathering of the Appalachian Mountains, boasts a pristine, nearly blinding white hue similar to sugar, inviting guests to sink their toes into its soft, fluffy texture. 

Distinguished by its remarkably calm, clear water, casting a mesmerizing emerald-green color, the warm temperatures make it a favorite among families. As does the fact that the sand is known to make wonderful castles. When it’s time to start building, we can provide anything you might need for a great beach day, be it beach chairs and umbrellas or towels and sunscreen.

Beach Amenities

In addition to pre-beach necessities, we offer all the essentials for a great Gulf Coast experience including kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, beach volleyball and beach bonfires. For a beach excursion off-property, check out the quiet and peaceful shores at Grayton Beach State Park and at Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, both nearby. Topsail Hill, for example, is home to more than three miles of secluded, unspoiled beach, plus dunes that are higher than 25 feet and three rare coastal dune lakes.

Outdoor Pools

As a salt- and sand-free alternative to our Gulf of Mexico beach, Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa offers guests the use of three pools, one indoor and two outdoor. We also have two whirlpools and a toddler pool.

The two large outdoor pools are located on each side of Barefoot's Beachside Bar & Grill. Palm trees dot the pools’ borders and there are plenty of chaise lounges and tables poolside. Because the pools overlook the beach, they provide quick beach access to those who prefer to spend their days alternating between pool and gulf. While the larger of the two outdoor pools ranges from three to eight feet deep, the other outdoor pool ranges from three to six feet deep

Indoor Pool

The indoor pool at Hilton Sandestin Beach is a luxurious oasis in any weather. The pool is housed in a spacious, tropical-themed atrium adjacent to the lobby and features a variety of comfy chairs and seating options, plus a whirlpool. Ranging from three to six feet deep, the indoor pool at Hilton Sandestin Beach Resort is the perfect place to unwind and recharge. Its stunning surroundings and ample amenities are sure to be a highlight of your vacation.

Pool Amenities

Adjacent to our outdoor pools is our vast beachfront deck, perfect for sunbathing, as well as our poolside cabanas for those who seek some shade. We provide complimentary pool towels, so there’s no need to pack your own. You can also rent watersports equipment at the Beach Services Hut, located off the main boardwalk, or pick up sunscreen and other items needed for fun in the sun at our Pool Hut on the pool deck.

In addition to Barefoot's Beachside Bar & Grill, the resort’s Picnix Poolside Market is a convenient dining option for guests. Picnix offers grab-and-go options that you can take back to your poolside lounge chairs and tables. It’s great for families with kids who don’t like to take time away from swimming for anything, especially meals and snacks. Both dining options are available to enjoy seasonally.
