Winter is a great time to visit Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. The off-season provides a unique and relaxing experience — the beach is quiet and peaceful and our wonderful indoor amenities shine.

The temperature does dip into the 40s and 50s throughout January and February, but there remains plenty to do on (and off!) property. Our indoor pool provides the perfect retreat for winter vacationers — especially fun for children who can enjoy pool games and swim out that youthful energy. The beach is also just as beautiful in winter as it is any other time of year. Though you may not be up for a dip in the Gulf, vacationers love to photograph spectacular fall and winter sunsets over the water and stroll along the shore searching for a variety of beautiful birds who fly in for the season. The cooler months are also an ideal opportunity to enjoy all our resort has to offer indoors — like the award-winning Serenity by the sea Spa and our AAA four-diamond steakhouse, Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood. Or grab a delicious cocktail to warm you up at Sandcastles Lounge. Call ahead as hours vary seasonally.
Adventures Off Property
Nearby Baytowne Wharf offers shopping and activities throughout the seasons. In winter, lace up your skates and enjoy the ice rink on Baytowne’s Events Plaza. Our complimentary shuttle will take you directly from the resort to Baytowne so you can enjoy everything the area has to offer without worrying about transportation and logistics. Destin and South Walton are also fantastic areas to do some last minute holiday shopping, or take advantage of deals post-New Year. We’re conveniently located between some of the best outlets and shopping destinations in the area and resort guests all receive exclusive shopping passes to Silver Sands Premium Outlets and Grand Boulevard. You’ll want to add a shopping excursion to your near Destin getaway!
Celebrate the Holidays
Speaking of the holidays, Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa is a great place to celebrate the holidays with the whole family. Our resort is decked out in holiday decor throughout December and we offer family-friendly rooms and suites — what kid wouldn’t like waking up on Christmas morning in their own bunk bed? Guests who join us over the holidays also love to indulge in our buffet breakfast at Sandcastles Restaurant on Christmas morning. New Year’s is another great time to visit the resort. Our neighbors at The Village of Baytowne Wharf throw a huge end-of-the-year celebration with kids activities, live music until 1am and a fireworks display. If you prefer to stay on property, just walk out onto our beach and you’ll see a variety of fireworks displays happening along the shore.
